Here we are again!!!

Enjoy the pleasure of a new english lesson ))))

Today we have done a presentation work : the class has been split in four groups.Each of these received a paper dealing with a scientific subject. The goal of the lesson was to summarize the article and to present it to the entire classroom.

Our paper was about the link between quality of thin films deposition and vacuum used for this deposition. All the class had many different subject related to the vacuum.

We did a visual presntation with a shematic view of the system of deposition and the conditions we need to obtain a good thin film. I tried to put a picture on this blog but i think the firewall of the university is against me and don’t allow to upload files. So i’ll try to send it from my home later. Sorry ;-(

We also had a preview of a website : wordreference.com . The aim of this was to be able to choose the good definition of a word using the context of the text in which it is used. We had a text dealing with the way of producing energy from the movement of the body and we looked for the definitions of words such as:

calf: mollet

Braces: brettelles, croisillons…in fact in our case the most appropriate word can be: sangles

Harness: harnais, baudrier

Gear: vitesse, pignon

etc… this website is really useful to find good definitions in few time.
